Slow Cooker Southwestern Pork Roast

Our mom got this recipe from a friend of hers. She made it for us a few months ago and it has quickly become a new favorite. It's very delicious and easy!

Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs. boneless pork roast
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/4 cup water
1 can (14 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans (4 oz. each) chopped green chilies, undrained
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin

Arrange pork roast in crockpot. Combine onion soup mix with remaining ingredients. Pour over pork. Cook, covered, on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours; until pork is tender. Slice, if desired.

NOTE: If using pork loin- cook 1 hour less.

Serve over hot cooked noodles or rice (we use rice). Pour sauce over all.
